Aberdeenshire-based completions specialist Vulcan Completion Products (VULCAN) is poised to mark a significant milestone in its global growth journey, with its international team now approaching 40 professionals across key energy markets.
Founded in 2017 and rooted in the engineering heritage of Northeast Scotland, VULCAN has evolved from a regional innovator into a global force in well cementing and completion technologies. Today, the company operates in nearly 50 countries, delivering precision-engineered solutions that meet the most demanding operational requirements.
Recent expansion has seen strategic appointments across the UK, US, UAE, Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, and Vietnam, including QHSE managers in the UK and APAC, a regional operations manager supporting growth in the Caspian, a regional sales lead for Sub-Saharan Africa, and a business development manager for MENA. These additions reflect VULCAN’s commitment to combining technical excellence with in-country expertise to better serve its growing client base.
VULCAN’s global footprint is further supported by a robust network of over 20 distributors and more than 90 customers worldwide. Manufacturing and assembly operations now span the USA, UK, KSA, UAE, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, China, and India, a deliberate strategy that blends engineering precision with local content to optimise delivery, reduce carbon emissions, and enhance client outcomes.

A key driver of Vulcan’s international success is its strategic partnership with Sawafi Al-Jazeera Oilfield Products and Services Co., a leading Middle Eastern technology group specialising in upstream innovation. Together, Vulcan and Sawafi are advancing intelligent completions, drilling enhancement, and AI-powered analytics across the energy sector.
With 57 global patents and a reputation for trailblazing innovation, Vulcan continues to push the boundaries of completions technology. A new suite of game-changing products is set to launch in 2026, reinforcing the company’s position as a leader in reliability, performance, and sector advancement.

Commenting on the company’s growth, Ian Kirk of Vulcan said: “What began as a small team in the Northeast of Scotland has evolved into a truly global organization and our growth reflects both the strength of our technology and people, and our commitment to building meaningful partnerships wherever we operate.
“The combination of VCP engineering knowledge and in-country expertise allows us to deliver better solutions to a growing client base.”

VCP’s product portfolio includes centralisers, reamer and guide shoes, float equipment, cement plugs, collars, and cable protectors, each engineered to deliver consistent performance in the world’s toughest environments.
